Custom actions (scripts) on the items index

Custom actions on the items index for running specific scripts for an item.

Tech Notes

Tech Notes

What must be done before deployment:

  • Roll out Manager, Core, Validation Rails, Handling Rails, and Hubs together for this package so custom actions on the items index, related scripts APIs, and Manager service-log behaviour stay in sync across apps.

New settings/configs/scopes:

  • Core, Handling Rails, Validation Rails, Hubs
    • New scope
      • Allow users to run custom actions on items using scripts
        • Boolean scope;
        • When enabled for a user role, the items index can expose actions that run LoopOS Scripts for an item

Migrations or Data Migrations made (to revert):

  • Manager
    • Migration: db/migrate/20260513133358_rename_data_in_loop_os_services_log.rb
Retrocompatibility

→ Manager 0.25.x.x is still compatible with all previous versions of the other apps
→ To use Validation, Handling 0.25.x.x and Hubs 0.22.x.x and above, you need Core 0.25.x.x or above
